Thanks so much for working with me again this week. Something really clicked with me on how my foot was landing. Both yesterday and today I only had to do easy/medium running with strides at the end. When I really focused on getting that front part of my foot down for short periods during my run today, I saw my heart rate drop while my speed stayed the same, so one way or another I was running more efficiently. I also was FAST -- much, much faster than I usually get on those. I was doing those back and forth at Auditorium Shores, and one of my friends running by stopped to say I looked really good and she had never seen me run like that before. Then someone I didn't even know standing over there was like "wow, you're fast" -- hehe, I don't get that very often, so that was a treat.

Lisa  -   2007 Trail Running 101

I learned a good deal about form and trail specifics, not to mention new trails J…. and unbelievably I actually did improve my speed (….I mostly accepted my speed limitations long ago, thankfully).

I have even been out on my own several times --- to Ken’s (got way lost, but obviously here I am, so not too bad), and to the Powerline and various greenbelt trails (which are my current favorites). I am about to join HCTR and hope to be able to take in some of their Sunday am runs.

I certainly will recommend this class to others, and plan on taking it again myself in the spring – prior to the 10k races. However, I wisely won’t be signing up for the nighttime trail 101 I saw listed recently (and my extremities thank me).

Thanks for all the advice and encouragement. Larry you did a wonderful job, and Joe I certainly appreciate all you do for the trail community, no matter what our level.

Charles "Geezer" Collins  -   Chicago & New York Marathon Training 2007

I think I reached the highest level of marathon Zen at St. George. No Geek-O-Meter, no pace band, no fueling plan just running and singing my way to a PR and a runner’s high that still hasn’t worn off completely. I still made plenty of errors that I plan to correct but if Meredith can help me create a solid nutritional plan, I’m going for sub 3:00:00 by the end of 08. Thank you for creating Rogue. Thank you for putting up with my “learn everything the hard way” approach to running. And especially, thanks for letting me try my hand at coaching. Whoooo Hooooo!

What a great training program! I can't wait for the next one.
