<![CDATA[ Join us for the 1st Annual sMiles 4 Sammy Family Fun Run & 5K on Saturday, May 26th! Run, jog, walk or stroll to raise money to build an all abilities baseball field right here in Williamson County for children with special needs! The Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation has pledged $50,000 for this project, the City of Taylor has donated land for the field in their sports complex and the proceeds from this event will be used to help with the remaining cost of the field. This year’s fun run will include a timed option for the serious runner. Serious runners will complete their 5K on a course around Vista Ridge High School and Henry Middle School. The untimed runner, walker, and/or stroller will use the same course or may use the track if a shorter route is preferred. Any youngster (or the young at heart) that is registered for the race is invited to participate in the 1K Ranger Trek with the Ranger athletes following the 5K. This race is being held in memory of Samantha Scott. Sammy lived for 10 months with trisomy 18, a condition considered incompatible with life. Sammy defied the odds every step of the way and taught everyone around her that each day is a gift and that you don’t have to be old or famous to make a difference. Come have some family fun and let’s make a difference together! ]]>
