COACH BIO

I ran the Race for the Cure back in 2002 without training and vowed never to run again. That didn't last long because I found Rogue (or it's predecessor at the time. There was a time before Rogue). I started with a sprint tri, then a half marathon, then an Olympic tri, on to my first marathon and finally a half Iron Man. I decided that running was what I enjoyed most and have used it as an excuse to travel to a lot of fun places to either race or check out the scenery.  I started coaching in 2004 as Carolyn's assistant. Since then I've coached a myriad of programs for Rogue over the years. Every spring I also coach a group of women cancer survivors at Capital Texas Team Survivor.

COACH PHILOSOPHY

My coaching philosophy is that it doesn't matter how fast you go, just that you go. As long as you're going, the sky is the limit from there.

GROUP DYNAMIC

The Morning Ninjas will either get you off the couch and over the finish line or take your race to the next level. Nedra will show you how to train and create goals for a successful race. At the same time, experienced athletes get personalized training to continue pushing their limits and setting new PRs.

ORIGIN STORY

Veteran Rogue coach Nedra Bray was asked to come out of retirement and create a new morning group. She, with the help of Trey Hamlett, has established the Morning Ninjas. This is a year-round group suited for any athlete running a 5k to the marathon. Nedra and Trey provide motivation, encouragement, and structure for whatever your goal might be.
